Is Pulsar Mail really encrypted?
Yes. TLS 1.3 in transit, at-rest encryption on every disk, S/MIME and OpenPGP for message-level encryption. See our /security page for the full technical breakdown.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, from the Pro plan onwards. Setup is a one-click DNS assistant — Pulsar generates the exact SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for you and monitors deliverability daily.
Do I get IMAP and SMTP, or only the web app?
You get JMAP, IMAP and SMTP on every plan, including Free. Use Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, mutt — anything that speaks the standards.
How does Pulsar compare to Gmail, Fastmail and Proton?

Where is my data stored?
Pulsar Mail is EU-hosted. All customer data — mail, attachments, index — lives on infrastructure in France and the Netherlands, under GDPR.
Can I migrate from Gmail or Outlook?
Yes. The migration assistant imports IMAP mailboxes end-to-end. A full Gmail archive typically takes 2–6 hours.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep read-only access to your archive for 30 days and can export the full mbox at any point. We never hold your data hostage.
